filming outside with mark

Watched a video on Gary Turk and had to analyze different shots which was in the video he created and different buildings which was within London  also why voting was important in our country also what age you cant vote

Then we went out recording.

What went well:

The weather was suitable to record and we successfully completed an alternative ending for our short film.

What didn't go well:

We was not sure how the last scene would be suitable to fit in because it was outside and it didn't really connect with our story line

What will I do next time: I will try get a lead in to the scene moving outside so it suits the rest of the short film we have created.

unknown film

My film '' Unknown caller''

Our film is suitable for children aged twelve it cant be a pg  because it is a horror themed film which has sudden scare part for example the ending where you suddenly see a horror face which can be scary to viewers.

Furthermore the scary mask may be scary to viewers because they don't know who it is and it can
effect them when they are going to sleep at night etc.Because it can even scare adults or teenagers that's why 12 is a suitable age restriction for my film

Case studies tab

BBFC has made the film adulthood to a restricted 15

Adulthood film

The sex and sex references were containable at '15'. The sex scenes in the film comprise images of thrusting and some writhing about, but nothing in the way of detail, with nudity being restricted to a minimum –less strong in fact than the sex scenes in kidulthood. this information is from the BBFC website.

BBFC Guidelines for sex allow ‘strong verbal references to sexual behavior’ . These appear as Jay reassures his girlfriend that he cares for her – ‘Didn’t I shave my name into your pussy hair last night?’ and in an argument between some girls over a man, “If your t’ings isn’t good and tight enough to keep his dick

Use of violence in Adulthood

The film takes a clear moral stance, condemning the casual use of weapons by the fates suffered by those who resort to their use. There is little in the way of injury detail, attacks giving the impression of violence and pain without showing the immediate results this is along the guidlines of age 15 films from my research.

The weirdest thing about this film is that the strongest moment of violence comes in a flash-back to kidulthood
, as a man describes how he had his face cut with a Stanley knife. It is a brief but bloody moment and not characteristic of the violence generally present in this film.

I believe that Kidulthood contains more violence and drug use than Adulthood.
As you can see from my research.

Shank film
This film includes
Very strong language
Violence
sex references

Use of violence in Shank

Though there is enough violence and use of weapons to suggest the work is too strong for 12A, it lacks the strong close up detail of impact, intensity or threat or sadistic or sexual edge that would suggest an 18 classification. The film does also attempt to offer a moral message about the futility of street violence.

The reason why it wasn't classified as 18 was because the use of language and violence wasn't detailed enough
There are none of the strongest gory images that may not be acceptable at 15 and no strong sadistic violence that would similarly be unacceptable, the only bit of of violence in the film is mainly punches and kicks to head but nothing that gory.also some gang violence and people are stabbed but its not detailed. You just know that they have been stabbed or you see it for a slight second or two.

This case study will help me with my film work because I now know what I can and cant put in my film for example in Adulthood there is a scene where Noel Clarke suddenly gets attacked in a graveyard I can put this into my film where one of the characters suddenly comes across the ''Unknown caller'' but because I'm not allowed violence I will cut the ending out so we know that he got attacked or something bad happened but we don't see it so its like a cliff hanger.
