Unknown Caller Secrets Short Film Proposal

Story:

1. Unknown number calls (hears heavy breathing)
2. Thinks its a prank and puts the phone down.
3. Searches up how to block unknown caller on his phone.
4. Hears laptop keyboard typing.
5. Looks up towards screen and sees this wrote "you cant block this number"
6. Unknown number continues to call over and over again but he keeps declining.
7. Continues to call and person gets annoyed and answers and shouts "WHO IS THIS!"
8. Unknown caller hangs up without saying anything.
9. Typing is heard from the laptop again.
10. He looks towards the computer screen and sees the words "I know where you are"
11. Person tries to run, opens the door and sees "the unknown caller"

Content:
This short film will contain mostly close up shots and some mid-shots this is because we want to get the persons emotions in the shots and still get his actions and interactions in some shots also.

Soundtrack:
This short film will be mostly diegetic sounds but will still include non-diegetic sounds also for example the "unknown caller" will scream/laugh.

Who is your audience:
our audience is 16 year olds and over because this short film will be fairly freaky for younger audiences and 16 year olds and over are just enough to watch and not be too scared over the short film.

Actors:
There may be 1 to 2 actors in this short film, firstly we may be ok with just 1 actor because the "unknown caller" is only shown at the end of the short film and is wearing a mask so you cannot see their face either way.

Location

Location

The location for mine and Shaun's short film is set in the dance studio near the basement this is because we wanted to find a dark place and when all the lights are turned of in the dance studio it goes really dark therefore it is suitable for us to record in also the only source of light we need is either from the laptop shining on the actors face since the actor will be on the laptop or a small torch if the laptop light isn't bright enough to see. Our props will be a laptop, and a scary mask.

My film is about someone who is a secret human/creature

One idea could be that someone is secretly an human/creature like a werewolf they are hiding it from their friends because they are scared what their friends and society will think of them so that’s why they have kept it a secret for a long time, until one day when the human/creature is out with their friends at night and it starts to rain and once the raindrops get onto the human/creature slowly the rain turns them into a werewolf and then the werewolf turns into its own nature which is aggressive and scary around people. Furthermore they will end up killing its friends

The film will be either black and white or set in a dark scene so it will have a scary impact on viewers

Actors

The actors will either be two or three because the main actor needs to have friends.

Who is you audience

Our audience is for teenagers around the age of 16 or older because it may include blood or gore and definitely someone turning into an animal/beast.

Soundtrack will mostly be diegetic sound because people will be speaking and the transformation to a werewolf will include some noise.

 extreme close-up on the face and the blood to make it stand out.

Sound - suspension building sound from quite and gets louder gradually when someone thing bad happens, some scenes would just appear for 5 seconds and the sound on them would be loud.

Emotion- This short film displayed many emotions such as sadness , fear , anger and we also seen her inner emotions for the guy.

Meaning- I think the meaning of this is that all the bad things happening in the film is what the guy wants to do e.g use her as a rag-doll, tie her to the bed, all these bad and hurtful things. But she cant the evilness inside him and see what he wants because shes blinded by happiness.

Sound - Diagetic and non diagetic Subway narrator who says ''Everyones dead you need to say hi to the closest woman''

Emotion - This film displayed the fear of the guy because he was scared to talk to women and thats why he had these ridiculous fantasy's

Meaning - The meaning of this film is that the guy would make up any excuse not to talk to the women even if there was nothing wrong he would make up an excuse to make it look bad. They got the story across by the guy having flash-forwards into the future of each of the women and how his relationship would turn bad by something that he would do wrong or not of their liking.
